I’ve been fortunate to visit the beautiful island of Phu Quoc multiple times, spending over three months exploring its culinary delights. Based on my personal experiences, here are some of the top places I recommend when considering where to eat and drink in Phu Quoc.
Crab House $$$
Crab House is an incredible place that I return to every time I’m on the island. The seafood variety is impressive and always fresh, but the highlight for me is the crabs – they’re so delicious I never even manage to take a photo before they’re gone. It’s a very popular spot, so booking in advance is highly recommended. The Cajun-style seafood, vibrant atmosphere, and attentive service make this restaurant a must when thinking about where to eat and drink in Phu Quoc.

Chuồn Chuồn bistro & bar $$

I’ve watched countless sunsets and spent many romantic evenings at Chuồn Chuồn bistro & bar. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, especially during golden hour. The food is delicious, beautifully presented, and the service is consistently warm and professional. It’s a great place to relax with a cocktail and enjoy the calm atmosphere above Duong Dong town. I definitely recommend booking in advance to get a good table by the edge.

Mango Bay – restaurant On The Sand $$

Mango Bay’s On The Sand restaurant offers a beautiful beachside dining experience with high-quality food in a peaceful setting. It’s on the pricier side for Phu Quoc, but absolutely worth it for the food, service, and atmosphere. Located on a quiet stretch of beach, it’s perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner by the sea. They also have another restaurant, On The Rocks, which I haven’t visited personally, but it’s known for stunning sunsets and excellent reviews.

Winston’s Burgers & Beer $$

Winston’s offers the best burgers I’ve ever had – juicy, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. The beer selection is excellent, and their lime pie is something truly special. It’s not cheap, but absolutely worth it. The place has a cozy, laid-back vibe and is a must-visit for burger lovers. Due to its popularity, it’s best to reserve a table in advance.

Phu Quoc night market $

If you’re looking for an authentic and affordable food experience, the Phu Quoc night market is a must. It’s a lively, colorful place where you can try all kinds of local dishes – grilled seafood cooked right in front of you, tropical fruits, Vietnamese street food, and more. The atmosphere is vibrant, fun, and very casual, making it a great option for everyday dining. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience.
- Address: Võ Thị Sáu Street, Dương Đông, Phú Quốc
Phu Quoc offers endless simple pleasures too – whether it’s grabbing a handful of fresh fruit from a local market or sipping a chilled coconut right on the beach. The island invites you to slow down, enjoy the moment, and savor the flavors of island life.
